In August of 2017, Shane Dawson interviewed her and soon she had reached 1 million YouTube users. Wired UK calculated that she was earning $1,000 a day on her YouTube Channel in February 2019.

Helfer is a native of rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada, to Dennis and Elaine Helfer. The couple is of German as well as English descendance. She attended William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler. Three of her sisters Tammy, Tara and Trena were employed and resided on the family's farm.
